Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Welder Helper position with a Tulsa company specializing in heat exchangers.

As a Welder Helper, you will play a crucial role in the production process by performing grinding and cleaning operations on heat exchanger parts.

Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am

Pay: $20-$22/hr DOE

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and position parts on rolls, fixtures, or the floor in a safe manner, prioritizing the protection of gasket surfaces and other components.
Conduct necessary abrasive grinding and buffing operations on welds, attachments, baffles, fills, and repairs, ensuring the highest quality finish, and having them inspected by Quality Control.
Deburr sharp edges and bolt holes on all heat exchanger parts.
Assist in plugging shells as required.
Perform air soap tests of re-pads, with Quality Control witnessing.
Conduct liquid penetrant tests where necessary, with Quality Control witnessing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, showing respect for workspace and equipment.
Care for tools and equipment, returning them to the tool room after completing tasks, and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance team.
Adhere to strict safety guidelines, consistently utilizing appropriate safety equipment, and following safety procedures.
