Warehouse Expeditor
Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Expeditor to support the efficient flow of materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the supply chain. This role is critical to ensuring materials arrive when needed, production schedules stay on track, and customer commitments are met.
Reporting directly to the Procurement & Logistics Director, the Warehouse Expeditor will work closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse, production, and supplier partners to identify potential delays, expedite critical orders, and maintain supply chain continuity.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $27 – $30 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Expediting & Shipment Tracking
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Proactively identify shortages, delays, and supply chain disruptions
- Expedite critical materials and orders to support production and customer deadlines
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders
Vendor & Internal Coordination
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, carriers, procurement, and warehouse personnel
- Follow up on purchase orders, backorders, and critical material requirements
- Coordinate receiving and shipping activities to maintain operational flow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production priorities
Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Assist with inventory flow and material staging activities
- Support cycle counts, inventory checks, and discrepancy resolution
- Monitor stock levels and communicate potential shortages or excess inventory
- Help maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and expediting records
- Update ERP and inventory management systems with current order status and delivery information
- Generate reports related to supplier performance, delivery metrics, and expediting activities
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
Continuous Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within warehouse and material flow processes
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delays
- Support implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, purchasing support, or expediting highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Experience working with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple departments
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver's License is required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
