Valve Service Technician
Job Description
We are looking to fill a Valve Technician position in a Broken Arrow company.
Highly qualified candidates will have a strong mechanical background as well as experience working in turn around within a refinery/plant environment.
Shift: Days
Pay: $18+ DOE
We are seeking Relief & Control Valve Service Technicians to successfully perform repairs and service on various types of valves.
Job Responsibilities:
- Successfully perform repairs and service on relief valves, control valves, manual valves, from start to finish
- Job setup, scheduling, tracking, follow-up
- Auxiliary testing device proficiency
- Disassembly and reassembly of all valves
- Field repair and testing of valves
- Interact with customers
- Responsibly operate company vehicles and equipment
- 50% Travel to customer sites
- Participate in 24/7 on call rotation’ for service emergencies
Job Requirements
Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
- 5+ years related industry experience
- Manual Machine experience a plus
- Understanding of pressure and ability to service valves in a production environment.
- Familiar with PRV terminology and definitions
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring schematics and the ability to read and interpret maintenance and repair manuals for use in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical assemblies
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency
- Operational experience in the oil and gas industry with respect to system operations and valves a plus
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a physical and random drug screens
- Experience with machining, power generation, petrochemical plant maintenance, welding, a plus +
- Disciplined and productive on a daily basis, even during times of business lulls
- Proven Mechanical experience
- Must be able to work, travel and lodge in Non Smoking environments
- Sincere sense of customer care
- Neat, clean, detail oriented, safety, and quality conscious
- Self-motivated, initiative, meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
