Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman to support commercial HVAC and refrigeration operations. This role focuses on servicing and maintaining equipment in commercial environments, most commonly within hospital settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who is experienced in both HVAC and refrigeration systems and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
Pay: $40.34/hr
Position Overview
The Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role also includes installation work, ensuring systems operate efficiently and meet all required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC units
- Install and service mini split systems and package units
- Perform refrigeration maintenance and repair as needed
- Work on systems in commercial settings, including hospitals
- Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and facility personnel
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman License (required)
- Strong experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with refrigeration systems (required)
- Experience with natural gas piping (preferred)
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Work Environment
- Primarily commercial field work, often within hospital environments
- May require working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and various facility areas
- Must be comfortable working in a service-based role
