Tire Technician
Job Description
Our client in the sanitation industry is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Tire Technician to join their maintenance team. This role is responsible for inspecting, repairing, rotating, and replacing tires on a fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18 – $20 per hour (DOE)
While the standard schedule is 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, some flexibility is required based on operational needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, and potential safety concerns
- Check tread depth, tire pressure, and overall tire condition
- Perform tire repairs, including patching and replacing valve stems and other components
- Rotate tires to promote even wear and maximize tire life
- Remove and replace tires on commercial vehicles and equipment
- Balance tires and verify proper installation
- Identify tire-related issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures and shop practices
- Assist with general shop and maintenance duties as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous tire technician, automotive, diesel, fleet maintenance, or related mechanical experience preferred
- Ability to safely use tire service equipment and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to identify tire wear patterns and potential issues
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move tires and related equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a physically active environment throughout the day
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
