Structural Welder
Job Description
A manufacturing company in the Sapulpa area specializing in air-cooled heat exchangers is seeking experienced Structural Welders to join their 2nd shift team. This role focuses on welding structural components used in industrial heat exchange equipment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fabrication environment and capable of producing high-quality welds that meet production and safety standards.
This position is ideal for welders who are experienced with spray arc / hot MIG welding and who can also assist with basic fitting and structural fabrication tasks.
Pay: $18 – $25 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities

Perform structural welding on components used in air-cooled heat exchangers

Use spray arc / hot MIG welding processes to complete production welds

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings

Fit and align structural components prior to welding (fit experience preferred)

Ensure welds meet company quality standards and specifications

Maintain a safe and organized work area

Inspect completed welds and correct any defects as needed

Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet project timelines
Job Requirements
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of structural welding experience

Proficiency in MIG welding, specifically spray arc / hot MIG processes

Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols

Fitting experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work in a manufacturing / fabrication environment
Candidates must successfully complete a weld test consisting of:

Overhead T-Plate weld
-
Horizontal T-Plate weld
