Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to play a critical role in enhancing design automation, improving manufacturing work flows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires an experienced professional with expertise in Autodesk Inventor, dynamic CAD modeling, and ERP integration to support scalable business operations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in vessel manufacturing, heat exchangers, pipeline systems, boiler making, or industrial water tanks. Experience with simulation projects and performance testing is a plus.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000+ (Based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain CAD Models: Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create dynamic models that enable automated, configurable product designs.
- Blueprint & Drawing Management: Produce and maintain customer, manufacturing, and engineering drawings that align with quality and compliance standards.
- BOM & Routing Management: Oversee item creation, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions to streamline production.
- Process Optimization: Implement machine automation and nesting software to enhance material usage and reduce waste.
- ERP System Integration: Support the integration of CAD systems with ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) to improve workflow efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to drive innovation and support production goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to engineering and manufacturing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Project Leadership: Act as a CAD and product design subject-matter expert in projects related to manufacturing, engineering, and business systems.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of mechanical design, CAD modeling, and drafting experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (iLogic, parametric modeling, and dynamic configurations).
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings (GD&T, ASME Y14.5) and industry standards.
- Experience managing BOMs, routing, and WIP tracking in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with quality requirements, regulatory compliance (ASME Section 8 & 9, ISO 9001:2015), and customer specifications.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
- Knowledge of material nesting software for fabrication optimization.
- Ability to lead projects, communicate progress, and collaborate across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in oil and gas processing equipment.
- Experience with CFD (computational fluid dynamics), simulation, and performance testing.
- Certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), ADDA Certified Design Drafter, or CSWP/CSWE.
