Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Robot Welding Programmer with a specialized focus on Yaskawa robotic welding cells in southwest Tulsa. In this critical role, you will be responsible for programming and optimizing Yaskawa robotic welding systems to achieve precise and efficient welding processes. Pay: $24-$27/hr DOE
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and fine-tune welding programs for Yaskawa robotic welding cells, ensuring they meet quality standards and efficiency targets.
- Configure and set up Yaskawa robotic welding cells, including tooling, fixtures, and robotic arms, to facilitate smooth and accurate welding operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve welding processes, making adjustments to enhance weld quality, cycle time, and overall efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot programming and equipment issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain detailed records of welding programs, adjustments, and quality control checks.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM) and offer technical expertise on welding feasibility.
- Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance personnel to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of Yaskawa robotic welding cells.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in programming robotic welding cells, with a deep understanding of welding processes and techniques.
- Strong proficiency in robotic programming languages, such as Yaskawa Motoman INFORM III or similar, as well as experience with robotic teach pendants and control systems.
- Commitment to producing high-quality welds and the ability to implement quality control measures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues related to robotic welding systems.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills to maintain accurate records of programming and quality control.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
