Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer in the robotic and electro-mechanical equipment industry, is seeking an experienced Product / Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on designing and developing multi-axis positioning equipment used in advanced robotic applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on both new product development and design modifications, while managing projects from concept through installation. The position offers a balance of hands-on engineering, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical positioning equipment for robotic applications

  • Create and maintain SolidWorks models, engineering drawings, and calculations

  • Apply knowledge of welding, machining, and assembly processes in design work

  • Manage projects from proposal through production, installation, and post-shipment support

  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, production, and leadership

  • Maintain strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts

  • Travel as needed to support project execution and customer requirements

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

  • 10+ years of practical engineering experience, with demonstrated stability

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (modeling, analysis, and drawing creation)

  • Practical understanding of stress analysis and manufacturing processes

  • Proven ability to manage projects independently and within a team environment

  • Strong communication skills across shop, office, and leadership teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Teams and related tools)

Preferred:

  • Experience with robotic cell design

  • Knowledge of PLC programming and system integration

  • Exposure to electrical or circuit design

  • Management or leadership experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
