Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Production Manager position with a manufacturing company in Catoosa, OK.

The ideal candidate for the Production Manager position should have a strong background in coaching and mentoring employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. They should excel in interviewing and hiring for laser, brake, and welding positions, while also prioritizing maintaining efficiency outputs, process improvement, cost justifications, and enhancing employee engagement to improve the overall work atmosphere. Additionally, collaborating with scheduling to enhance customer communications and on-time delivery would be key responsibilities for this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring cleanliness, promptly addressing safety issues, and promoting safety protocols for yourself, colleagues, and the company.
  • Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments and personnel to optimize production output and meet delivery targets.
  • Manage manpower needs and ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve production goals.
  • Proactively communicate with planning and materials teams to address any issues that may affect productivity, quality, cost, or delivery schedules.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications, implementing efficient manufacturing methods and maintaining a high-quality work environment.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and craftsmanship among employees, promoting self-inspection and a commitment to delivering superior products and services.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining a safe work environment, with knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience in workforce management, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in analyzing production data and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and meet production targets.
  • Familiarity with production scheduling software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make data-driven decisions to resolve them effectively.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
