Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Production Manager position with a manufacturing company located in Claremore, OK.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of plant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, controlling costs, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a hands-on leader who actively embodies the company's core values and drives continuous improvement across the production team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and uphold the company's core values in all decisions and interactions.
  • Ensure production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety goals are consistently met.
  • Review production schedules, determine workforce needs, and monitor operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive or corrective actions as needed.
  • Recommend and execute changes to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Manage inventory control and work-in-process activities.
  • Plan and schedule production work to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Direct and support exempt and non-exempt production control staff.
  • Make decisions related to hiring, termination, discipline, and performance management.
  • Investigate product quality concerns and implement changes or improvements.
  • Provide regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Assistant Plant Manager or 5-10 years of experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Requires personal protective equipment, including ear protection, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.
  • Noise levels consistent with manufacturing operations.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
