Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Working Foreman for a premier sod farm company located in the Claremore area!

The goal of the Foreman is to direct and lead a crew daily, as well as work alongside them. This individual would be driving a company truck and pulling a trailer with equipment. We are looking for a candidate with interest in getting versed at performing a handful of different erosion control measures, such as installing sodding, mulching, silt fence and dike installations, brush hogging, etc.

Pay: Dependent on Experience. $25+/hr

 
Schedule: 6:15 / 6:30a start time (Overtime and weekends will be required at times)
 
Benefits: Full Benefits available after 60 days as direct hire(Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, FSA) - 401K matched at 4% offered after (1) year & Company Cell Phone Provided or Monthly Reimbursement (once permanent)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing Daily Production Numbers
  • Tracking employee hours daily
  • Assessing priorities to assign them to the employees at job sites
  • Ensuring employees have the required tools, equipment, & PPE needed for each job
  • Observant of workers to spot inefficient and unsafe work procedures, and initiate reporting for corrective action if necessary
  • Maintaining coordination with the supervisor regarding the crew
  • Training and Coaching of New Employees
  • Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance Constructive training and Proactive Leadership to the crew
  • Evaluate quickest and easiest ways to complete a job without sacrificing quality of the work being done
  • Running equipment such as a track machine, rubber-tired front-end loader, etc. to install sod, silt fence, etc.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in sod work, landscaping or relatable industry
  • Must be able to direct and lead others in a respectable and professional manner
  • Have valid Driver's License (Class A preferred but not required)
  • Previous Equipment Experience
  • Required Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must have references
