Product Data Manager and Planner (PDM)
Job Description
A reputable manufacturer in the Catoosa area is seeking an experienced Planner / PDM (Product Data Manager) to work with Sales and Production Teams to establish, define and meet any requirements for our customers. This company would like to find someone who has experience setting up very difficult production parts with enough description to help the shop in being successful. This individual will enter the initial part data which results in job cost analysis outputs and requires attention to detail and a firm understanding of shop processing methods. Successful candidates will be able to manage and monitor production schedules based on available resources, as well as work with Purchasing to ensure material availability and subcontractors to ensure adequate outsourced processes.
Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
Pay: $50,000 - $62,000 DOE

Job Elements:

impact on safety. - Review shop capacity and material availability and issue production orders to manufacturing.
- Communicate daily with shop supervisors and leads to resolve scheduling conflicts; notify Sales when
schedule cannot be maintained. - Serves as a liaison between Production, Materials, and Sales.
- Ensures all capacity constraints are identified and proposed solutions implemented to avoid late
shipments or cost overruns. - Ability to review and establish priorities for customer orders, and revise schedules accordingly.
- Team player that is self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Analyze historic data to identify trends and define opportunities for improvement.
Job Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills
- (3+) years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within sales or purchasing
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work with shop supervisors and leads to resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Demonstrate professional or technical expertise in manufacturing processes and workflow and order of operations.
- Must effectively demonstrate use of MRP system.
- Anticipates potential problems or conflicts and proactively develops solutions.
- Takes responsibility for actions, including follow-through on assignments.
