Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Plant Supervisor position with a company in north Tulsa that specializes in the global energy industry & technology-driven solutions.
 
The Plant Supervisor accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees, as well as developing personal growth opportunities.

Hours: 6:00a - 4:30p, Monday through Friday
 
Pay: $60,000 - $68,000
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise hourly employees in the Production Department. Evaluate, counsel, and train Production Department personnel to efficiently and safely perform their function.
  • Supervise and direct production personnel to operate within standard operating practices and procedures to meet production goals by making work assignments, training and developing employees, and disciplining personnel as required.
  • Ensure that safe working conditions exist in the plant and that safety rules are enforced. Hold safety huddles to encourage safe work practices.
  • Monitor work practices and inspect work areas to eliminate all unsafe work conditions.
  • Ensure that production schedules are achieved. Ensure that production is performed in an efficient and competent manner.
  • Recommend manpower levels for the Production Department. Monitor needs and maintain inventory of plant tools and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE PRIOR PLANT SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE
  • HANDS ON SUPERVISORY ROLE
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to use many different types of tools & have the knowledge to know when to use what tool on which piece of equipment
  • Knowledge & skill of the operation of forklifts and cranes
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules
  • Ability to push/lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in exposed environmental conditions such as cold and hot weather temperatures.

  • Must be certified to operate a forklift.

  • Oracle experience is a plus but not required
  • Be a member of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Team and perform required functions as it relates to the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program
  • Be an active participant in our Hazardous Waste Control / Spill Prevention Program and Emergency Action Plan
