We are currently looking to fill a Payroll Specialist position with a payroll service bureau in Tulsa, OK.
Location: Tulsa, OK (In-Office, Remote, or Partially Remote)

Key Qualifications:
- Technology savvy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, CSV files, APIs, and FTP.
- Ideally experience with iSolved, but open to candidates with expertise in Kronos or other HCM platforms like PayCom, PayCor, or Paylocity, especially in a service bureau capacity.
Position Overview:
As a Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate payroll processing while fostering strong client relationships. We're seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a high level of critical thinking, and exhibits technical aptitude. Your role will involve closely collaborating with clients to ensure seamless processing, identify areas for improvement, and enhance overall client satisfaction.
Client Training: Researching, analyzing, and addressing clients' needs related to payroll processing, reporting, and related services. You'll participate in client meetings to provide support and training.
Payroll Processing: Analyzing payroll data for accuracy, inputting and balancing data meticulously, processing payroll, and reviewing/analyzing payroll reports for accuracy before timely distribution to clients.
Account Reconciliation: Supporting client satisfaction through quality service checks, analyzing customer metrics, account reconciliation, and quality control. You'll also assist in process and audit efforts to ensure compliance with Red River Payroll standards.
Customer Service: Providing prompt and comprehensive responses to client inquiries, identifying solutions to streamline or enhance payroll service delivery, and recommending process and policy improvements while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional critical thinking abilities.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in payroll administration or a relevant field.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of web-based or enterprise software solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn other application programs as needed.
- Robust proficiency and experience in payroll administration practices and knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Understanding of various HR disciplines and their role and impact on business as they relate to payroll, benefits, taxation, accounting, employment documentation, employment, and general HR practices.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and facilitation skills, with experience handling multiple tasks and activities efficiently.
- Demonstrated effective business communication skills to facilitate high service value and service recovery with clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
