Payroll Specialist - QuickBooks

Job Description
We are currently looking to fill a Payroll Specialist / Processor position with a local bookkeeping company.
Hours: M-F 9am-5pm
Pay: $16-$18 DOE
Essential Functions:
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
- Prepare and execute pay orders through
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Prepare reports
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
Should possess fantastic customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be highly organized with exceptional critical thinking skills.
- Must have 2 years previous experience in payroll administration or relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience utilizing QuickBooks for payroll processing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed
- Strong proficiency and experience in payroll administration and practices, and knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Strong time management, organizational and facilitation skills with experience handling multiple task/activities in an efficient and timely manner
- Demonstrates effective business communication skills to facilitate high service value and service recovery with clients
