Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Payroll Operations Manager position with a local Payroll company in Tulsa, OK.

The very hands-on position of Payroll Operations Supervisor is responsible for all performance aspects of the business including the financial performance, quality, production, process, and technology. Manager will have an instinctive ability to guide employees to reach their full potential through support and mentorship.


Hours: 
8a-5p; some OT may be required
Pay: $55,000-$65,000 DOE

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will develop and maintain control of all business operations and will be an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. The ideal individual will also be a strategic planner with the essential ability to specify, strategize, and define opportunities

Process Improvement – Responsible for creating policies and procedures that optimize the customer experience and process efficiency.

Reporting/Analysis – Provide oversight, validation, and reconciliation of payroll operations processes and data management.

Revenue Goals – Develops comprehensive goals for performance and growth strategies.

Advanced Client Support – Oversee top tier management and resolution of payroll and operational related issues.

Financial Operations – Account reconciliation, audits, agency account management, ACH and garnishment service management.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:
 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Payroll operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance related payroll processes including data entry, pay calculations, tax and benefits, multi-state taxation rules, wage and hour laws, etc.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing and continuously optimizing payroll processes and internal controls.
  • Consistent experience juggling multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Should be highly organized and excellent communicator both orally and in writing. 
  • Deductive reasoning ability, advanced analytical skills and computer skills
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn software programs.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or business-related field preferred
  • Experience leading high-performance teams within the Payroll industry strongly preferred
