Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
Our client, a respected institution in the higher education space, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support their Accounting and Payroll team. This role will report to the Payroll Supervisor and Director of Accounting and Payroll, with responsibility for processing payroll across a multi-state employee base through an outsourced system.

Hours: 8am-5pm
Responsibilities include:

Daily review of timesheet data for discrepancies and variances

Communication with employees and supervisors to ensure timely timesheet approvals

Processing biweekly payroll for both hourly and salaried staff across multiple states

Coordination with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee records in the payroll system

Handling Payroll Adjustment forms and specialized pay schedules

Reconciling payroll changes and generating reports

Reissuing returned ACH payments

Responding to payroll-related inquiries from staff, faculty, and student workers

Assisting the Payroll Supervisor in all facets of payroll operations
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of payroll experience

Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws

Experience using Paycom payroll software or similar

Background in accounting and/or finance

Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
