Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Paint Bay Manager position with a company in Sapulpa that specializes in steel manufacturing.

Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $24-$27
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of 5-6 employees, providing guidance, training,
    and support to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Oversee all aspects of the paint department, including loading and
    unloading trucks and trailers, handling heavy paint materials, and operating forklifts and overhead cranes. 
  • Ensure that painted steel products meet quality standards, adhere to customer
    specifications, and maintain consistent finishes.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular
    safety meetings, and addressing safety concerns promptly.
  • Manage inventory of paint supplies and materials, ensuring adequate
    stock levels to support production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to paint department
    activities, including inventory levels and production data.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in steel manufacturing with a strong background in paint bay
    operations.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Strong understanding of paint application techniques and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting shipping manifests.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
