Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Shop Help team member to support night shift operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, versatile position that will assist throughout the shop based on production needs.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, be comfortable working around industrial equipment, and be able to accurately read a tape measure. This role may assist with operating plasma cutting equipment, brake presses, grinders, and other machinery, as well as assembly, material handling, and forklift operation.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM
Pay: $17–$20/hr DOE + $2/hr Night Shift Differential

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day production and shop operations
• Operate or assist with plasma cutting equipment, brake presses, grinders, and other shop machinery as assigned
• Perform basic assembly and production tasks
• Accurately measure materials and parts using a tape measure
• Grind, clean, and finish parts as needed
• Move materials and finished products throughout the facility
• Operate a forklift as needed
• Assist machine operators and other production team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and production standards
• Perform additional shop duties based on production needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required
• Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure
• Experience with presses, plasma cutters, grinders, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning different equipment and processes
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full night shift schedule
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and help wherever needed in the shop

Safety Requirements

• Steel-toed boots are required and must be provided by the employee
• Safety glasses and hearing protection are provided; employees may use their own approved equipment if preferred
• This is a safety-sensitive position

Benefits Upon Permanent Hire

Benefits become effective the first of the month following the temp-to-hire conversion date after completion of the required 480 contracted hours.

• 72 hours of PTO accrual during the first year
• At the one-year anniversary, employees receive 112 hours of accrued PTO plus one paid day during their birthday month
