Job Description
A local foundry in the Tulsa area is seeking a Melt Worker for their melting department!
The ideal candidate will have experience in melting processes, furnace operation, and a strong understanding of iron chemistry.
Schedule: 6:00a - 2:30p (possible start times of 4:00a)
Pay: $13.00 - 17.00/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Learn and comprehend the chemistry of iron to ensure proper melting procedures.
- Handle the process of dumping iron into the furnace with precision and accuracy.
- Possess the knowledge and ability to reline a furnace as needed.
- Utilize experience in pouring iron to maintain quality standards.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in melting or furnace operations preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and apply knowledge of iron chemistry.
- Proficient in relining furnaces with attention to detail.
- Experience in safely and effectively pouring iron.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
