Mechanical Technician - CNG

We are currently looking to fill a Mechanical Technician position with a company specializing in compressed natural gas (CNG), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in various shop activities, ensuring the successful production and assembly of CNG equipment and trailers.

Hours: 8a-5p

Pay:  $17-$19/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts both within the shop and in the yard, efficiently moving materials and equipment.
• Utilize your expertise in operating overhead cranes to handle heavy components and assemblies.
• Assemble and build out flatbed trailers, customized for different CNG applications, according to specifications and guidelines.
• Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret tape measures with precision, down to 1/8", to ensure accurate measurements during fabrication and assembly processes.
• Perform a variety of shop work throughout the day, maintaining flexibility and adaptability to handle different tasks effectively.
• Work collaboratively with team members to foster a strong company culture of teamwork and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated mechanical skills and experience, with prior work experience in a mechanical technician role.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Strong ability to read and interpret tape measures with high accuracy.
• Willingness to perform various tasks within the shop environment.
• Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, showcasing excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience with CNG equipment or trailers is a plus, but not required.
