Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently looking to fill a Mechanical Design Engineer with a Tulsa company specializing in heat exchangers.

* Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in shell and tube heat exchanger design or 2 years experience in pressure vessel design.  *

Pay: $90,000+ DOE

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical design calculations for heat exchangers.
• Create dimensional sketches of exchangers.
• Perform final design of tube layout.
• Maintain and care for computer system.
• Issue drawings and other output data internally and to customer.
• Verify that all drawings and calculations meet the requirements of ASME code, TEMA standard, and any other applicable codes or standards.
• Validate that drawings and calculations meet all user-defined needs and specifications.
• Communicate with customers.
• Assist in training new design and drafting personnel.
• Assist Manager of Mechanical Engineering with basic managerial duties.
• Assist in resolving fabrication problems relating to detail drawing.
• Assist in creating, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system within the company.
• Maintain Computer Verification Log.
• Assist Quality Inspection Department and Purchasing in resolving material related problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• At least 5 years of work experience similar to the duties of the position
• Computer proficient
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shell and tube heat exchanger design
• 2 years of experience in pressure vessel design
