Our client, an established manufacturing company in Claremore, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to support its weekend operations. This position is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and securing materials using forklifts and overhead cranes.

This is not an entry-level material handling position. Candidates must bring at least two years of relevant experience and be comfortable working with large or heavy materials in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
Pay: $18–$20 per hour DOE, plus a $2 per hour shift differential
Weekend Incentive: Work 36 hours and receive pay for 40 hours  

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials throughout the facility
• Load and unload materials from flatbed trailers
• Climb on and off flatbed trailers safely throughout the shift
• Secure materials using proper tie-down methods
• Read a tape measure accurately
• Stage and organize materials for production and shipment
• Inspect loads to ensure materials are secure and properly positioned
• Maintain accurate material movement and inventory records as required
• Follow established safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Assist other production and warehouse team members as needed

Qualifications

• At least two years of material handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or related industrial experience
• Previous forklift experience required
• Previous overhead crane experience required
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience loading, unloading, and securing materials on flatbed trailers preferred
• Knowledge of proper tie-down procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full Friday–Sunday schedule

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly climb on and off flatbed trailers
• Ability to bend, lift, stoop, reach, and stand throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Comfortable working extended 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely perform tie-downs and work around large materials and equipment
