Manager and Account Receivable and Billing

We’re seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable and Billing to support the Bursar’s Office in all aspects of accounts receivable, billing, payments, and collections—primarily related to student accounts, but also including various AR accounts across campus.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment and enjoys both process improvement and meaningful interaction with students and internal departments.
Hours: 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the billing and collection of student accounts and other receivables

Manage third-party billing processes, including communication with government agencies

Monitor payment plans, past-due balances, and coordinate collection efforts

Provide excellent customer service to students, families, and university departments

Ensure accuracy and compliance in all AR functions

Support reconciliation and reporting efforts related to student accounts

Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar, and other campus partners

Assist with process updates and software systems improvements related to billing
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline

Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and 10-key

Cash handling and/or collections experience

Prior experience in higher education, especially student billing or financial aid

Familiarity with Colleague ERP system or similar
-
Experience with third-party billing (e.g., VA, tribal, or other government entities)

Understanding of Department of Education guidelines
