Job Description
We are currently looking to fill a Junior Accountant position with an engineering and manufacturing firm in Tulsa, OK.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join this finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, contributing to data analysis, managing accounts receivable and payable, performing reconciliations, and assisting with year-end tax reporting. The ideal candidate will streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
Hours: 6a-4:30p M-Th
Pay: $27/hr
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and financial analysis using Oracle Fusion.
- Prepare and post entries in the general ledger and assist with audits as needed.
- Analyze account balances, reconcile accounts weekly, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and issue resolution.
- Support accounts payable processes, including vendor follow-ups.
- Act as a liaison between finance and departments such as procurement, logistics, and human resources.
- Process employee expense reports and contractor/vendor payments.
- Monitor production reports, invoice customers, and maintain job files.
- Review payroll reports and enter them into the financial system while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist tax professionals with quarterly estimates and annual returns.
- Review financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Recommend cost-saving strategies and scalable process improvements.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with invoicing and billing systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Experience with financial planning software; Oracle Fusion is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and confidentiality skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; accounting degree or coursework preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in an accounting role.
- Competency with financial planning software; experience with Oracle Fusion is an advantage.
