Installer Technician Trainee
Job Description
We are hiring an Installer Technician Trainee to join our client’s growing team. In this role, you’ll train under a licensed technician to install and service alarm systems, fire systems, and network or app-based technology in homes and small businesses.
Hours: 8a-5p
Pay: $15/hr
What You’ll Do

Assist with installing authorized security, alarm, and network systems under supervision

Test and troubleshoot equipment, wiring, and features to ensure proper functionality

Coordinate with internal staff to complete installations and set up new customer accounts

Maintain accurate records including work orders, service logs, and inventory documentation

Safely operate company vehicle and tools, maintaining equipment in good condition

Perform work in a professional and courteous manner in customer locations

Support other general tasks as assigned

Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous experience in security, cable TV, telecommunications, or general installation work is a plus

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and working from ladders or lifts

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and work in both indoor and outdoor environments

Basic computer proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible or alternating schedules when needed
