Weekend Shift Team Lead
Job Description
Our client in Claremore, OK is seeking a Weekend Shift Team Lead to support production operations and provide leadership during the weekend shift.
This position will serve as a key backup to the Assistant Plant Manager and will play an active role in supervising production staff, maintaining quality standards, and keeping operations running efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance floor presence with problem-solving and team oversight.
Hours: Weekend shift 6am-6:30pm
Pay: $28 – $32/hour DOE + $2 differential
Position Overview
The Weekend Shift Team Lead assists plant leadership with day-to-day production responsibilities and provides direct supervision of production activities across multiple processes. This role is responsible for coordinating personnel, monitoring workflow, resolving production issues, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Team Lead will also participate in production work as time allows and serve as a role model for productivity, safety, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Schedule and assign personnel to meet production plans and priorities

Supervise multiple production processes throughout the facility

Direct and oversee shift production staff

Troubleshoot production problems and take corrective or preventive action

Enforce quality standards and recommend improvements to reduce costs

Communicate job expectations and provide coaching, counseling, and performance feedback

Monitor employee output and investigate quality concerns

Maintain inventory control and work-in-process tracking

Ensure a safe and clean work environment through enforcement of policies and procedures

Participate in day-to-day production work as needed

Support plant leadership with operational reporting and problem resolution
Job Requirements
Qualifications

5–7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility with skilled production staff

Ability to supervise and lead 20+ employees

Ability to read fabrication drawings and interpret weld symbols

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to troubleshoot production and personnel issues effectively

Prior experience in a structural steel or fabrication environment
