Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Our client, a growing steel processing and manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and keeping production running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling a variety of maintenance responsibilities.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday | 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay: $22 – $30 per hour (DOE)
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
- Repair and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, pumps, and other equipment components
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment
- Assist with machine installations, modifications, and upgrades
- Maintain maintenance records and document completed repairs
- Perform facility maintenance as needed
- Coordinate with production personnel to prioritize maintenance needs
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience troubleshooting motors, conveyors, production equipment, and machinery
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in steel processing, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting
- Experience with VFDs, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems
- Technical school, vocational training, or related certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and work in industrial environments throughout the shift
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and production equipment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures within a manufacturing facility
