Job Description
Our client is seeking a hands-on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to join their team. This is not a managerial role—we are looking for someone who will be actively engaged on the plant floor, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of workplace safety. The ideal candidate will be proactive, observant, and experienced in conducting audits, leading safety training, and ensuring OSHA compliance in an industrial setting.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $25 - $30/hr (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and update HSE policies and procedures, maintaining documentation in Workhub (management system).
- Assign and track HSE training for employees using Workhub.
- Observe facility operations to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Perform monthly reports on leading and lagging safety indicators.
- Host weekly HSE meetings and maintain toolbox tasks.
- Develop and execute HSE onboarding for new hires, as well as ongoing training for existing employees.
- Report and document workplace injuries and accidents in Tulsa, including Workers’ Compensation processes.
- Conduct PPE inventory checks to ensure compliance and availability.
- Interpret third-party forklift audit reports and provide corrective actions.
- Train employees on safe forklift operation.
- Conduct annual truck inspections and monitor employee MVRs for those driving company trucks.
- Create and maintain an emergency pyramid and evacuation plan.
- Lead the ISO certification process for the Tulsa facility.
- Conduct HSE audits and workplace assessments.
- Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety stand-downs to reinforce key safety protocols.
- Create and submit Flash Reports to document and communicate critical safety incidents.
- Follow OSHA regulations and complete required OSHA certifications.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 4 years of hands-on safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- OSHA certification (minimum 8 hours) required.
- Experience designing and implementing HSE policies and training programs.
- Strong ability to identify risks, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn Workhub (HSE management system).
