Job Description
We are currently looking to fill an HR Generalist position with a Tulsa company that specializes in providing residential and vocational options and support services for people with developmental disabilities. Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional additional hours as needed)
- Compensation: $45K – $52K DOEe
Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for handling a variety of HR functions, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HR process improvement. This role is vital in ensuring HR operates efficiently and effectively, supporting both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full recruitment cycle for assigned business segments (job postings, resume reviews, interviews, and hiring coordination).
- Ensure compliance with company hiring policies and legal regulations.
- Facilitate and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee files, including healthcare licenses, driver’s licenses, and certifications.
- Track expiration dates of required licenses/certifications and notify employees/supervisors.
- Address employee relations issues and escalate concerns to the HR Manager as needed.
- Collaborate with HR team members on company-wide projects, training programs, benefits administration, and policy updates.
- Provide support and guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with audits and provide required documentation.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred).
- 2+ years of HR experience in a progressive HR role.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- As this role is in the healthcare industry, obtaining a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required. The company will provide paid training for this certification.
