Glass Fabrication Technician
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Glass Fabrication Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in glass cutting and fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
This is a shop-based position requiring precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $20 – $25 per hour (DOE)
Position Overview
The Glass Fabrication Technician will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and finishing glass to meet exact specifications. This role requires experience operating fabrication equipment and ensuring all finished products meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand cut glass to precise measurements and specifications
- Operate polishing and beveling equipment
- Read and follow work orders and fabrication drawings
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Safely handle, move, and store glass materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on glass cutting experience (required)
- Experience operating polishing and beveling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Knowledge of glass types and fabrication methods
- Ability to safely lift and handle glass materials
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable, consistent, and quality-focused
Preferred Experience
- Custom glass fabrication experience
- Experience with additional equipment such as CNC or tempering
- Basic equipment maintenance knowledge
Work Environment
- Shop setting with physical demands including standing, lifting, and handling glass
- PPE required at all times
