Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Day Shift Fitter Welder position with a Catoosa based manufacturing company.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in fitting and welding structural items, including platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, and enclosures.

Pay: $22-$25/hr DOE

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (some OT required)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Comfortably interpret and work from complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and welding of components.
  • Utilize various measuring tools and fitting equipment such as tape measures, carpenter squares, levels, band saws, grinders, etc., effectively to ensure precise fitting and alignment of components.
  • Fit up small and large assemblies with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Weld utilizing Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) for welding carbon steel, Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding for both carbon steel and stainless steel, as well as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Safely operate equipment and handle materials weighing up to 75lbs by hand.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in fitting and welding structural items. ( ex.. platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, enclosures)
  • Must be comfortable reading complex prints. Also with measuring and fitting equipment like tape measures, carpenter squares, levels, band saws, grinders, etc etc (this line should not be a problem if the candidates fall into the above categories)
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs by hand. Also needs to be able to take the heat. Our shops are climate controlled but it still gets hot in the summer.
  • Must be able to fit up small and large assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient in FCAW (fluxcore) welding carbon steel
  • Must be proficient in MIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Must be proficient in TIG welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum
