Fitter Welder
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced fitter / welder for a local manufacturing company in the Sand Springs area!
The position will be mostly MIG welding with some TIG. All welders fit and weld their own parts.
Schedule: 8a - 4:30p, Monday through Friday
Pay: $17 - $25/hr DOE

- Clamps, holds, welds, grinds, and bolts components.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates.
- Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
- Analyzes blueprints and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Maintain and complete all required records and production documentation.
- Remove rough spots from workpieces using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
- Maintains a safe work environment and reports defective tools and equipment.
- Ability to move materials and operate a forklift or overhead crane.
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Ability to pass MIG weld test
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- (2+) years of experience welding in the field required
- Read and interpret blueprints and have strong mathematical skills
- Ability to use and read level, tapes, protractors, and various shop tools to complete the task
- Possession of strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
