Fitter / Welder – Final Assembly
Job Description
We are looking for a well-rounded Fitter / Welder who brings strong welding and fabrication skills along with solid mechanical aptitude. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable moving beyond welding to assist with final mechanical assembly.
The right candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, a strong team player, and willing to jump in wherever needed to help complete the finished product.
Location: Tulsa/Sapulpa Area
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
• 4:00 AM–2:30 PM or 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Overtime may be available on Fridays
Pay: $25–$27/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities
• Perform fitting and welding according to drawings and specifications
• Fit, align, and assemble fabricated components
• Complete quality welds and inspect finished work
• Assist with final mechanical assembly of completed products
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
• Troubleshoot fitment and basic mechanical issues during assembly
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication and assembly process
• Work collaboratively with welding, fabrication, and assembly team members
Job Requirements
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience fitting and welding structural items, such as platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, and enclosures
• Proficient in MIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel
• Proficient in FCAW (flux-core) welding carbon steel
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
• Comfortable performing both welding and final assembly work
• Ability to read and work from blueprints or fabrication drawings
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative
• Positive attitude and strong team mentality
• Flexible and willing to assist in different areas of the shop as needed
