Field Technician - CNG

We are currently looking to fill a Field Technician position with a company specializing in compressed natural gas (CNG), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNG equipment.

Hours: 7:30a-4:30p; overnight stays may be required but not often.

Pay:  $17-$19/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on CNG equipment, including the replacement of valves, pipes, and learning to recalibrate equipment as needed.
• Work in the field at various locations, driving to different sites to perform maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Be comfortable working around CNG, necessitating a non-smoking status due to safety concerns.
• Be willing to travel to rural areas to perform maintenance, both independently and as part of a team.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Be flexible with work hours as they may fluctuate, with the ultimate goal of completing travel assignments by Friday at 5 pm to allow for weekends at home.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a mechanical or technical role is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CNG equipment and its maintenance is a plus but not required; we are willing to provide training to the right candidate.
• A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different locations.
• Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to ensure safe driving practices.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment when required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate.
