Job Description
Are you an experienced equipment sales professional with a passion for agriculture or construction machinery? Our client, a reputable and established equipment dealer, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Equipment Sales Representative to join their growing team.
This position focuses on selling and supporting farm and construction equipment while building long-term relationships with customers and ensuring a top-tier buying experience from first introduction to final delivery.
Hours: 8a-5p. Saturdays and work outside of normal hours may be required
Pay: Base + Commission
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the agricultural and construction sectors.

Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate machinery and attachments.

Demonstrate equipment features, capabilities, and benefits to prospective buyers.

Negotiate pricing, prepare contracts, and process sales documentation accurately.

Coordinate with service, finance, and delivery teams to ensure seamless customer satisfaction.

Attend trade shows, product launches, and industry events to generate leads and promote the brand.

Maintain a thorough understanding of inventory, manufacturer programs, and financing options.

Stay up to date on new equipment models, technology advancements, and competitor offerings.

Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and urgency.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall sales operations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Farm and/or construction equipment sales experience is required.

Automotive sales experience will not be considered.

Proven success in equipment or machinery sales, including new business development and account management.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong customer service orientation with a relationship-driven mindset.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email platforms, and CRM systems.

Ability to read and understand equipment specifications, financing documents, and warranty forms.

Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Valid driver’s license; ability to safely operate farm/construction equipment for demonstrations preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and interact with customers for extended periods.

Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs as needed.

Regular use of computers and office equipment in a fast-paced environment.
