Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their team in Katy, TX. This full-time, contract-to-hire position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems that support industrial production equipment.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring a self-motivated professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating with both onsite and remote technical teams to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimal production downtime.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Pay: $32.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and electronic production equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Install, calibrate, and commission industrial equipment and control systems.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system failures using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective actions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
Fabrication & Technical Support
- Support fabrication, assembly, and equipment modifications.
- Perform Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and recommend equipment improvements.
- Support production teams by resolving equipment issues quickly and safely.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and preventative maintenance programs.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
- Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance
- Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and solve complex equipment issues
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of the position
Preferred Experience
- Fabrication, including welding and machining
- Reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and advanced troubleshooting
- Manufacturing, heavy industrial, or oil & gas environments
- Welding (MIG/TIG)
- Machining (lathe and milling)
- Equipment installation, calibration, and commissioning
