Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a contract-to-hire Electrical Engineer / PCB Design position with a Tulsa company.

This position includes the research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment and systems.

Hours: Monday-Friday day shift (some flexibility on start time)

Pay: $90,000-$100,000

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs electrical equipment and systems for the manufacturing department.
  • Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of equipment and systems for the manufacturing department.
  • Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new manufacturing equipment.
  • Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing of equipment conform to functional specifications and production requirements.
  • Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance (including P.M.), and repair of electrical equipment and systems in use.
  • Troubleshoots and helps in the repair of faulty electronic components and equipment.
  • Assists in the designing of new methods of manufacturing, which will reduce labor costs and increase efficiencies.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, required
  • Professional Engineering Certification, preferred
  • 5 years of hardware or circuit board design experience or similar
  • Printed circuit board design experience including knowledge of industry-standard practices for schematics, board layouts, specifications, tolerances, and gerber files
  • Experience with Altium Designer, preferred
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic systems from board level to system level, including bench testing and field testing
  • Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, DMMs, etc.)
  • Wiring diagram and cable harness design experience
  • Circuit analysis ability, both manually and with SPICE
  • Experience in soldering surface mount components
  • Experience with DC motors and controls, especially H-Bridge design, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in defining problems, collecting data, and evaluating solutions
  • Experience in applying a methodical approach toward both design and troubleshooting tasks
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks
    as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation
    techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
  • Ability to work with computers and software dealing with spreadsheets, word processing, CAD and databases.
  • Ability to do computer programming. Ability to work with interface equipment between computers and manufacturing equipment.
