Director of Nursing
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to support operations across our organization, with primary oversight of nursing services tied to the Broken Arrow location. This role combines strong leadership with hands-on clinical involvement and is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality care, staff development, and regulatory compliance. The Director of Nursing will oversee LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs while ensuring that patient care is delivered with dignity, respect, and excellence.
Hours: Typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; this position supports a 24/7 staffed location and may require flexibility outside standard business hours
Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 annually (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
Administrative / Leadership

Provide leadership and direction to LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs across the organization

Develop, implement, and enforce nursing policies and procedures in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards

Monitor staffing levels, coordinate schedules, and oversee employee performance, including evaluations and corrective actions

Oversee training and continuing education to ensure staff certifications and competencies remain current

Review incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up and corrective actions

Participate in organizational committees including Safety, Quality Assurance, Infection Control, and Admissions/Discharge
-
Maintain budgetary oversight for medical supplies, equipment, and staffing resources
-
Ensure services comply with Medicare/Medicaid and other regulatory and payer requirements

Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment

Serve as a mentor and professional resource for nursing staff
-
Ensure effective communication between nursing staff and other departments
-
Address staff concerns promptly and professionally
Direct Care Oversight

Oversee Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs, including proper administration, monitoring, storage, and documentation
-
Monitor individuals receiving MAT for effectiveness, adverse reactions, and changes in condition

Ensure TB screening, monitoring, testing, and follow-up in accordance with state and federal guidelines
-
Maintain infection control practices related to TB exposure prevention and response
-
Ensure MAT and TB documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready

Provide hands-on nursing care when needed

Assist with administering medications and treatments per physician orders
-
Oversee self-medication programs to promote individual independence
-
Respond to medical emergencies and perform emergency first aid

Conduct ongoing assessments and ensure care plans are updated appropriately

Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and specialists to support optimal outcomes
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current LPN licensure in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and ability to be insured under company auto policy

Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Experience in both direct care and administrative leadership preferred

Experience working in regulated healthcare environments preferred, including:
