Job Description
We are currently seeking to fill a Director of Information Technology position with a company in Tulsa, OK.
Experience Required: Minimum of 10 years managing an IT department
We are seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to lead and oversee IT operations, ensuring efficient and effective technical support and infrastructure for our organization. This role will focus on strategic management, security, and process improvement within the IT department, supporting the organization’s goals through optimized technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and oversee IT staff, ensuring projects are assigned and completed efficiently. Conduct performance evaluations and manage discipline in accordance with company policy.
- IT Strategy & Implementation: Direct the development and implementation of IT systems and policies. Create and maintain business continuity protocols to minimize operational disruptions.
- Infrastructure & Efficiency: Set and enforce standards for IT infrastructure efficiency and security, identifying opportunities for system improvements.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the security of networks, systems, and enterprise data, coordinating IT security audits and any necessary investigations.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Maintain relationships with external IT vendors and manage multisite IT systems through ERP (enterprise resource planning).
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of IT systems, security protocols, and current technology trends, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Organizational & Analytical Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and foster positive working relationships.
- Strategic Acumen: Thorough understanding of IT’s practical applications and potential to drive the organization’s goals.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in IT management with a proven track record in overseeing technology operations, system upgrades, and security.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
