Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Code Welder to join a well-established Tulsa steel manufacturing operation. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder looking for steady daytime hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to continue developing their skills with a major manufacturer.
This position requires strong welding fundamentals, the ability to work from blueprints and specifications, and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality welds. Candidates with Flux-Core (FCAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), and heavy steel fabrication experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Friday | 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Pay: $20–$28/hour DOE
Benefits: Full benefits package available after the applicable waiting period.
All shop positions are considered Safety Sensitive.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on steel components and assemblies
- Utilize Flux-Core (FCAW), Submerged Arc (SAW), and other applicable welding processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and specifications
- Fit, position, and weld components according to required dimensions and tolerances
- Calculate and verify material measurements throughout the fabrication process
- Inspect completed welds for quality, penetration, consistency, and compliance with specifications
- Identify and correct weld defects or fabrication issues as needed
- Install, repair, or modify fabricated components and equipment
- Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
- Follow established quality and safety procedures throughout the production process
Job Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional welding experience
- Experience with Flux-Core welding required
- Must be able to pass a 3G uphill Flux-Core weld test
- Submerged Arc Welding (SAW/Sub-Arc) experience strongly preferred
- Carbon steel and heavy fabrication experience preferred
- ASME certification or previous code welding experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of welding tools, procedures, and quality standards
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing consistent, quality work
- Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus
Required Safety Equipment
Metatarsal safety boots are required.
