CNC Machinist
Job Description
Our client, a steel processing and manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their day shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a production environment, takes pride in precision work, and wants to be part of a stable manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will have prior CNC machining experience or formal CNC training and be capable of producing quality parts while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday | 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay: $20 – $25+ per hour (DOE)
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture parts to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make corrections when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience OR completion of a CNC machining program or related technical schooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
