CDL Roll Off Driver
Job Description
We are currently looking to fill a Roll Off Operator position with a company specializing in waste management.
As a Roll Off Operator, you will be responsible for operating a roll off garbage truck to collect and transport waste and recycling materials in a safe and efficient manner.
All trucks are manual transmission.
Hours: 6am-when route is complete. Some OT required.
Pay: $19 with no Roll Off experience. $20-$21/hr with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a manual transmission roll off garbage truck to pick up waste and recycling materials along designated routes.
- Safely maneuver the vehicle in residential and commercial areas, adhering to traffic and safety regulations.
- Empty bins and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of materials.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, including pre-trip inspections and minor repairs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate routes and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license without a manual restriction
- At least 1 year of experience driving with your CDL license
- Proven experience as a Roll Off operator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of traffic and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate hydraulic controls and maneuver the vehicle safely in various environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy waste containers.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
