Job Description

We are currently looking to fill a Buyer position with a manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK bordering Sapulpa, OK.

Hours: 6a-4:30p
Pay: $45,000-$60,000
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.
  • Sourcing: Identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Purchase Order Management: Generate, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze supplier quotes and proposals to make informed decisions regarding cost and sourcing strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
 
 

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 
  • 3-5 years of Purchasing/Procurement experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
