We are currently looking to fill a Buyer position with a manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK bordering Sapulpa, OK.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.
- Sourcing: Identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Purchase Order Management: Generate, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze supplier quotes and proposals to make informed decisions regarding cost and sourcing strategies.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- 3-5 years of Purchasing/Procurement experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
