Our client, a commercial construction company specializing in new construction projects, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Support professional to join their team.

Position Overview

This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions while also supporting general office operations. The right individual will be someone who can stay organized in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams, and take initiative without needing constant direction.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 annually (DOE)  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable using QuickBooks
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general bookkeeping tasks
  • Perform and track job costing for construction projects
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors
  • Support and prepare for workers’ compensation audits
  • Assist with general liability (GL) audits
  • Handle administrative duties that support overall office operations
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and accountability across all financial processes

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction bookkeeping required
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Experience with job costing in a construction environment
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation and general liability audits
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accountability in your work
  • Professional communication skills with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
