Bilingual Inspection Lead
Job Description
Our client, a steel processing and manufacturing company, is seeking a Bilingual Inspection Lead to oversee dimensional and first article inspections while serving as a key resource for production and quality teams. This role is ideal for someone with a strong quality background who can effectively communicate in both English and Spanish and help ensure products meet customer and engineering specifications.
The successful candidate will be hands-on in the inspection process while providing leadership and guidance to team members on quality standards and expectations.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday | 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay: $22 – $27+ per hour (DOE)
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform first article inspections and dimensional inspections on manufactured components
- Verify parts meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality requirements
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
- Tape measures
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Other inspection tools as required
- Review blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure compliance
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify non-conforming materials and communicate corrective actions
- Serve as a liaison between production and quality departments
- Assist with training and coaching team members on inspection procedures and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality processes
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing dimensional inspections and first article inspections
- Proficient with measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a lead, trainer, or quality leadership role
- Experience in steel processing, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with quality management systems and inspection documentation
- Experience working with customer-specific quality requirements
