Job Description

We are currently looking to fill an Applications Engineer position with a Tulsa company in the oil and gas industry.

The Applications Engineer will be an active individual and project contributor, dedicated to developing and creating a successful Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system. In this role, the engineer will serve as a team lead/project lead, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO standards for production. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the management of engineering resources related to engineering capacity, optimizing product and
process standardization, developing API standards and other necessary standards for production and operations, and creating comprehensive technical documentation.

Pay: $70,000-$90,000
Hours: 8a-5p - This is an in office position. Remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • CPQ Development: Actively contribute to the development and creation of a successful CPQ system, ensuring it meets the needs of the business and enhances the sales process.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a team lead/project lead, guiding and mentoring team members to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
  • ISO Standards Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain ISO standards for production, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in processes.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and budget.
  • Engineering Management: Oversee the management of engineering resources related to engineering capacity, optimizing product and process standardization.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for internal and external stakeholders.
  • API Standards Development: Develop API standards and other necessary standards for production and operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and production to ensure seamless integration of the CPQ system and adherence to ISO standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all projects, processes, and standards to ensure clear communication and consistency.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the development and implementation of the CPQ system and ISO standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing CPQ systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and experience in maintaining them.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
 
Physical / Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to move around the office and production environments as needed.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex technical information.
  • Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions.
