Alarm and Security Sales Representative
Job Description
This is a relationship-based sales role requiring confidence, adaptability, and the ability to read the room and tailor solutions to customer needs.
- First 90 days:
- $50,000 base salary
- No commission required to earn base
- If sales production exceeds base during this period, commissions will be paid
- After 90 days:
- Base salary transitions to $24,000
- Commission percentage increases
- Earning potential:
- Most sales representatives earn $80,000+ annually
Products & Services Sold:
Sales representatives will offer a full suite of security and life-safety solutions, including:

CCTV / Video Surveillance

Access Control Systems

Intrusion Alarm Systems

Commercial Fire Systems

Lock and Locksmith Services
-
Nurse Call Systems (experience in this area is a plus; licensing support available)
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage commercial and residential client relationships

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate security solutions

Conduct site visits and consultative sales meetings

Prepare proposals and follow through to close sales

Build long-term partnerships through trust, service, and responsiveness

Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and best practices

Meet or exceed individual sales goals
Job Requirements
Qualifications

Background in the alarm/security industry strongly preferred

Licensed alarm technicians interested in moving into sales are encouraged to apply

Candidates without licensing must be willing to obtain required licensing within 6 months of hire

Strong sales aptitude with a consultative, customer-first approach

Outgoing, driven personality with confidence and adaptability

Ability to read people and situations and adjust communication style accordingly

Coachable mindset with a desire for continuous improvement

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
