Job Description
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join a well-established company in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position offering a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a stable work history, and a minimum of five years of accounting experience in a leadership role.
Position Details:
- Salary: $67K – $70K+ (DOE, with potential for a higher salary for candidates with Controller-level experience)
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
- Team Leadership: Manage and oversee a team of 8 direct reports
- Software Used: Sedona Office, ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite, Avalara, QuickBooks
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of 8 accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL) entries, and financial reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now.
- Maintain tax compliance, including sales and use tax reporting through Avalara.
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize Sedona Office and QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting.
- Assist with audits, financial planning, and forecasting as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required).
- At least 5 years of accounting experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong experience in managing a team of 8 direct reports or more.
- Proficiency with Sedona Office, ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite, Avalara, and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at the Controller level will be considered for a higher salary.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus but not required.
